This image was done as an illustration for "The Story of the Weeping Camel." The mother camel, after enduring a 48-hour painful labor, would not let her calf drink milk. The only way that the two were reunited as a loving parent and child couple was through the music of a local mongolian. Music therapy works!

Centaur

I rendered the skeleton of a centuar, and then its flesh and natural environment. Each drawing is ink and brush, done on big sheets of arches hot press watercolor paper.

Finally had a free moment to apply my palette to the background to eliminate that ugly green! Whew! I think it looks a lot better now.

Code of arms tattoo style. One color limitation, black, and white. Drawings were sketched and finished in mechanical pencil, color done digitally in PhotoshopCS4
